This newly created position sits within the finance function of a large, privately owned Australian organisation with a complex group structure. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, and working closely with a Senior Financial Accountant and a growing team, it offers a strong first or second move for someone coming out of a Big 4 or mid-tier audit background.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for delivering accurate, compliant and timely statutory financial reporting across the group, while building your exposure to audit coordination and technical accounting. Day to day, you’ll be:

- Preparing annual financial statements and solvency declarations for group entities
- Supporting Board and Audit Committee reporting, including papers on key accounting matters
- Coordinating the external audit process and resolving audit queries with the businesses




- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations to strengthen financial governance
- Providing technical accounting advice and supporting the implementation of new accounting standards

About You

To be considered you’ll need:

- CA or CPA qualification (essential)
- Strong grounding in technical and statutory accounting standards
- Experience preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements and coordinating external audits
- The ability to communicate confidently with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Robust attention to detail and the maturity to manage competing deadlines
