Your Library is seeking an experienced and community-focused leader to join our Leadership Team as Branch Manager at Lilydale Library.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead one of our key library branches, working closely with the diverse Lilydale community and developing strong partnerships that create meaningful learning and engagement opportunities. A key feature of this role is building and maintaining a close collaborative relationship with Box Hill Institute's Lilydale Campus, supporting lifelong learning, digital literacy, and community connection initiatives.

About the Role

As Branch Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for Lilydale Library, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer experiences, innovative services, and meaningful community outcomes. You will lead and develop a high-performing team while fostering an inclusive, welcoming and inspiring environment for customers of all ages and backgrounds.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will:

- Lead the daily operations of Lilydale Library.
- Inspire, coach and develop a dedicated team of library professionals.
- Drive a culture of outstanding customer service and continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with local community groups, businesses, education providers and other stakeholders.




- Work closely with the Lilydale community to identify emerging needs and opportunities.
- Strengthen partnerships with Box Hill Institute Lilydale Campus to support learning, literacy, digital inclusion and community engagement initiatives.
- Oversee Flexi service and Flexi team
- Develop and deliver innovative programs, events and services that connect people with ideas, information and each other.
- Contribute to organisational planning and strategic initiatives across Your Library.
- Ensure compliance with Child Safe Standards, Occupational Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity and other organisational requirements.

About You

You are a collaborative and innovative leader who is passionate about community engagement and customer experience. You have a demonstrated ability to build solid teams, manage operations effectively and create partnerships that deliver meaningful outcomes.

You will bring:

- Significant experience leading and developing teams in a dynamic service environment.
- Strong leadership, coaching and performance management skills.
- Experience delivering customer-focused services and community programs.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.




- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Digital literacy skills and confidence supporting staff and customers with technology.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or substantial management experience.
- A current Driver's Licence and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one.
