This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing Standard and Advanced Industrial equipment which includes scales up to 3T capacity, truck scales, programmable terminals, and peripherals at customer locations. Whilst performing your duties, it is expected that you maintain the highest level of integrity that METTLER TOLEDO upholds. As part of your duties, you will be expected to leverage your technical knowledge to develop and propose ideas that support METTLER TOLEDO's growth objectives. This role requires the utmost flexibility to adapt to the market change when necessary.

Key responsibilities

- Troubleshoot and repair industry related products with guidance ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Perform calibrations and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Work efficiently in line with standard process guidelines to enhance productivity.
- Ensures customer uptime requirements are met and that PM work at assigned account is completed on time.
- Maintain inventory levels necessary to meet a high First Time Fix Rate while remaining within the company guidelines.
- Follow all service requirements and procedures consistently.
- Comply with ISO standards and maintain proper parts inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures including Environmental Health & Safety.
- Interface with Sales Representatives to fulfill customer requirements effectively.

About you





- Mechanical aptitude with trade or education in the mechanical/electrical engineering field is preferred.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or IT.
- Strong fault-finding and technical skills.
- Ability to push, pull and lift handheld weights (up to 10kg) and various equipment / parts, lifting may be repetitive or require high force.
- Capable of bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, and standing for extended or sustained periods.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
- Ability to climb ladders, reach above shoulder height, and work at heights (Accredited training will be provided to the right candidate where required).
- Confined space work may require sustained or awkward postures to access equipment in partially enclosed spaces (Accredited training will be provided to the right candidate where required).
- Tolerance for working in diverse environmental conditions (temperature, noise).
- Valid driver's licence required.
