About the Role

An opportunity now exists for a Senior Group Management Accountant to join the finance team in Dandenong, reporting directly to the CFO.

Working alongside an experienced Financial Accountant with a complementary area of focus, you will play a key role in bringing together financial performance across the broader Group.

This is a broad, hands‑on Group role with responsibility for bringing together financial performance across a complex multi‑entity environment. You will take ownership of Group month‑end and management reporting, prepare Board and executive reporting, lead the annual budgeting process and forecasting, and provide meaningful analysis around business performance.

Importantly, this isn't a traditional statutory-focused Group Accountant position. The role combines strong accounting foundations with Group management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, performance analysis and people leadership.

You will also lead three direct reports across Assistant Accounting, Accounts Receivable and Data Analytics and work closely with the CFO across ongoing finance and process improvement.

The Role Reporting directly to the CFO, your responsibilities will include:

- Leading the Group month‑end process and delivery of monthly P&L; results across a multi‑entity environment
- Preparing Group Board and executive performance reporting packs
- Analysing financial performance and clearly explaining variances against budget




- Bringing together financial information across multiple entities and business units to provide accurate and meaningful Group‑level reporting
- Leading the annual budgeting process across the Group and individual business units
- Preparing financial forecasts and supporting broader business planning
- Maintaining general ledger integrity, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Providing analysis across sales, margins, COGS and inventory
- Overseeing the fixed asset register
- Leading and developing three direct reports across Assistant Accounting, Accounts Receivable and Data Analytics
- Working closely with the Data Analyst to ensure sales, margin, KPI and Power BI reporting is aligned with Group Finance
- Overseeing Accounts Receivable, customer invoicing and associated processes
- Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve month‑end, reporting, systems and finance processes
- Supporting the CFO across broader finance initiatives as the Group continues to develop

About You

You will be a qualified accountant with strong hands‑on accounting foundations and proven experience producing management information within a multi‑entity Group setting.

Importantly, you will be equally comfortable ensuring the integrity of the underlying numbers and interpreting those results for senior management.

You will bring:

- CA, CPA or equivalent qualification
- 4+ years' post-qualified experience
- Demonstrated multi-entity Group reporting experience
- Experience preparing Board and/or executive management reporting
- Strong month‑end ownership and management reporting capability




- Demonstrated experience leading annual budgets and preparing financial forecasts
- Strong P&L;, variance analysis and balance sheet capability
- Hands‑on experience using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to understand the drivers behind financial performance
- Previous people leadership experience
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, hands‑on and continuous improvement mindset

Experience within manufacturing, distribution, wholesale or another inventory/product-based environment would be highly advantageous, particularly where you have worked with inventory, COGS and margin reporting.

Exposure to Power BI and Document Capture would also be advantageous.
