Support Worker – Experience with ADHD, ODD & Autism

We are looking for a caring, reliable and experienced Support Worker to provide support and care for children with ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

About the Role

The successful applicant will provide individualised support to help children feel safe, supported and engaged in their daily activities. We are looking for someone who has genuine experience working with children who have behavioural and developmental needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide compassionate and patient support to children with ADHD, ODD and Autism.

- Assist with daily routines, activities and age-appropriate play.

- Support positive behaviour and help children develop emotional regulation and social skills.

- Follow established routines, strategies and support plans.

- Maintain a safe, calm and supportive environment.

- Communicate effectively with parents/carers and provide feedback about the child's day.

- Encourage independence, confidence and participation in activities.

About You





- Has previous hands-on experience caring for or supporting children with ADHD, ODD and Autism.

- Is patient, calm, reliable and compassionate.

- Understands challenging behaviours and can respond appropriately and positively.

- Has good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Is comfortable working independently and following individual support strategies.

- Has a genuine interest in supporting children's wellbeing and development.

- Has relevant qualifications and/or experience in disability support, childcare, education or a related field.

Availability

- Weekday availability required

- Preferred hours: 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

- Some flexibility with weekday hours would be highly regarded.
