About the role

Brunetti Classico is seeking a skilled Cook to join our Savoury Production team on a part-time basis. Based in Carlton, this role is central to delivering exceptional savoury dishes that define our culinary reputation. You will be responsible for the preparation of high-quality savoury food items, working within our established production kitchen to meet the exacting standards our guests expect. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced hospitality environment whilst maintaining the precision and passion that characterises professional cooking.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and cook savoury dishes to specification, adhering strictly to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, hygiene and safety in all food preparation activities
- Manage prep work efficiently, including cleaning, chopping, and preparing ingredients for service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including ovens, hobs, grills, and other production machinery
- Support the kitchen team by contributing to a collaborative, organised working environment
- Ensure correct storage and rotation of ingredients, following FIFO principles and food safety guidelines
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee consistent quality of dishes
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and management regarding service requirements and any issues
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas throughout service

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a Cook in a professional kitchen, with demonstrated competency in savoury food production
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods,



and ingredient handling
- Solid understanding of food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and workplace health and safety requirements
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet production deadlines
- A genuine passion for food and commitment to culinary excellence
- Reliable, skilled attitude with strong communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications or certifications (such as food handling or hospitality qualifications) are desirable
- Experience in an Italian kitchen environment is advantageous
