This is a varied, hands-on role for someone with professional picture-framing experience who also enjoys working with people and has a strong eye for colour, proportion and design. You'll work across both the framing workshop and showroom, helping customers select framing that complements their artwork, photographs, memorabilia and interiors, as well as working hands-on in the production and finishing of custom framing.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting customers with frame, matboard and glazing selections
- Providing confident and considered framing and design advice
- Measuring and preparing framing orders
- Cutting, joining, mounting, fitting and finishing
- Handling artwork carefully and professionally
- Working across original art, prints, photographs, memorabilia and large-scale pieces
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
- Helping keep the showroom welcoming, organised and beautifully presented
About you
- Previous professional picture-framing experience
- Confident with framing techniques, equipment and the handling of artwork
- Comfortable working directly with customers and helping them make framing decisions
- Robust eye for colour, proportion and design
- Friendly manner and excellent attention to detail
- Experience in customer service, art, interiors, galleries or design-focused retail would be highly regarded
