If you’re a 3rd or 4th year electrical apprentice who takes pride in your work, shows initiative and wants to become a capable, well-rounded electrician, not simply finish your time, this opportunity may be for you.

Essence Electrical is a family-owned electrical contracting business servicing Ipswich and Brisbane. Our team works across general electrical, solar, batteries and air conditioning, giving you the prospect to build practical experience across several growing areas of the trade.

We’re not looking for someone who knows everything already. We’re looking for someone dependable, resilient and willing to learn - someone who can think ahead, accept feedback and take responsibility for their own development.

Who we’re looking for





You’ll need to be a current 3rd or 4th year electrical apprentice who has:

- Your own hand tools
- A current driver’s licence
- Strong initiative and the ability to identify what needs to be done
- A reliable work ethic and pride in your workmanship
- A willingness to learn, ask questions and accept constructive feedback
- Resilience when work becomes physically or mentally challenging
- Good communication skills with customers and teammates
- Respect for company vehicles, tools, equipment and customers’ properties
- A genuine interest in becoming a highly capable electrician

We value apprentices who arrive prepared, stay engaged and contribute to the team. You won’t be expected to know everything, but you will be expected to care about learning, improving and doing the job properly.

This position may suit you if…

You feel as though you have outgrown your current environment, your training has fallen behind, or you want broader experience before completing your apprenticeship.

It may also suit someone who wants more responsibility and independence but still values having experienced people available for guidance.
