Emerald Twinklekids Early Learning Centre – Emerald VIC

Emerald Twinklekids Early Learning Centre is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team on a part time basis. Based in Emerald, VIC 3782, this role is fundamental to providing high-quality early childhood education and care to our young learners. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating nurturing, stimulating environments where children can learn, grow and develop during their crucial formative years. Your contribution will directly impact children's educational outcomes and wellbeing, making this position of strategic importance to our centre's mission and success.

What you'll be doing

Planning and implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences and activities that support children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development

Creating and maintaining secure, inclusive and welcoming classroom environments that promote exploration, creativity and confidence

Assessing children's progress and development, maintaining detailed observations and records to inform future planning and support individualised learning

Collaborating with families and carers to build strong partnerships, sharing information about children's learning and wellbeing

Supporting children's transition into school and other educational settings by providing guidance and preparing them for next steps

Implementing centre policies and procedures, including health, safety and hygiene protocols to ensure child welfare at all times





Communicating effectively with colleagues to ensure consistency of care and a coordinated approach to children's learning and development

Participating in career development and staying current with best practice in early childhood education

What we're looking for

A recognised early childhood teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification recognised in Victoria

More than 5 years' experience as an Early Childhood Teacher – highly preferred

Current full VIT registration

Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one as a condition of employment

Strong knowledge of early childhood development and best practice learning approaches, including play-based and inquiry-based learning

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

Sound understanding of child safeguarding, inclusion and diversity, with a commitment to providing equitable care for all children

Ability to work collaboratively within a team workplace whilst also demonstrating initiative and independence

First Aid and CPR certification, or commitment to obtaining certification upon employment

Experience working in early childhood education or care settings is highly desirable

Enthusiasm, patience and a genuine passion for supporting young children's growth and development
