JWB Joinery is seeking an experienced, hands-on Cabinet Maker Leading Hand to join our team on a full-time basis.

Other positions for labourers and installers are also available!

Duties & responsibilities

- Supervise and lead workshop employees and apprentices
- Plan and schedule daily workshop production
- Ensure projects are manufactured to specification and quality standards
- Coordinate workflow to meet project deadlines
- Read and interpret construction drawings and joinery plans
- Conduct quality control inspections before items leave the workshop
- Manage workshop stock levels and materials and coordinate deliveries with site teams
- Mentor apprentices and foster a positive, organised and accountable workplace culture

Qualifications & capabilities

- Trade qualified and experienced tradesman with a background in cabinet making
- No prior leadership experience required as full training and support will be provided
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and joinery plans




- Valuable understanding of workshop production processes and quality standards
- Comfortable overseeing and mentoring workshop staff and apprentices
- Sound knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety requirements
- Practical problem-solving ability
