Guardian Facilities and Property Management Pty ltd – Traralgon VIC

Oversees the day-to-day operations for clients as per agreements or contracts. Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed. Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules. Develops maintenance procedures and schedules. Assist Management with day to day operations, administration and Accounts processing. Prepared to jump on the tools if/when required for minor repairs.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare maintenance schedules in line with the organisation's maintenance goals and monitoring PM compliance
- Frequently inspect facilities to proactively detect potential problems and recommend the necessary repair or maintenance
- Provide support and advice during staff recruitment and ensure the proper onboarding and training process
- Oversee and enforce valuable record-keeping practices (CMMS software like SimPro)
- Data entry for accounts receivable and Invoicing as needed daily
- Generate work orders,

- Occasionally inspect the quality of performed maintenance work
- Communicate policies, procedures, and any updates to maintenance staff
- Check that every single job is executed on time, to the budget, and without compromising building users' safety
- Work closely with vendors, outsourced service providers, and contractors to protect the interests of the facility
- Conduct minor maintenance tasks from time to time

About you

- Proven experience as maintenance/trade or similar role
- Strong technical knowledge of all building systems and fault finding
- Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
- Understanding of budgeting and performance management
- Excellent planning and leadership abilities
- Computer savvy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
