The Opportunity

The Challenge

Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, you will act as a strong 2IC, helping to drive a high-performing internal audit team with a focus on quality, commercial insight and robust stakeholder relationships. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Developing and executing robust, risk-based internal audit strategies and plans, ensuring appropriate coverage of key business areas and emerging risks
- Leading end-to-end internal audits, from planning and fieldwork through to reporting and recommendations




- Preparing high-quality internal audit reports and presenting findings and insights to senior management
- Managing relationships with co-source partners to ensure quality and effective delivery
- Using data analytics to identify trends, emerging risks and opportunities to improve controls and business performance
- Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the business and fostering a culture of open communication and collaboration
- Supporting the Head of Internal Audit in driving continuous improvement and maintaining a high-performing internal audit function

The Expertise

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, Engineering or a related field.
- Likely professional certifications such as IIA, CIA, CPA, CA
- Likely you have a background in professional services or a large corporate, and have had exposure to a wide range of audits which may include Financial, IT, Operational
- Experience in Utilities / Energy or related sectors is nice to have
- Extensive experience in internal audit working within in a large, complex organisation
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with varying stakeholder groups
