The Senior Policy Officer, Renewable Energy contributes to Victoria's transition to renewable energy and net zero emissions, with a focus on large scale renewable energy generation and energy storage.

n

The position is part of a small, high performing team responsible for monitoring and reporting on Victoria's legislated renewable energy and energy storage targets.

n

The Senior Policy Officer brings strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support the delivery of complex policy and regulatory projects.

n

Additionally, the Senior Policy Officer will have sound communication skills which support the synthesis of complex technical issues into policy papers, briefs and reports to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, such as across the Department and to other Victorian government departments.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

n

n
- An appropriate Tertiary qualification(s) in public policy, economics, engineering, legal or other relevant area is desired, with experience in government or a relevant energy related field being an advantage.
n

n

This is a fixed term position available until 31 October 2028. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
