Job Description

I'm currently working exclusively on a senior mandate for a Commercial Director (Finance) with an ANZ-wide, PE-backed Professional Services business headquartered in Melbourne. This is a trusted senior commercial advisor role, sitting alongside a Brand CEO and their leadership team — translating financial performance into commercial insight, owning the interpretation of the P&L;, and driving forward-looking decision-making across revenue pipeline forecasting and the budgeting cycle.

A bit about the role:

- Act as lead commercial finance partner to the CEO and senior stakeholders across the group
n
- Own monthly P&L; interpretation and commercial storytelling
n
- Lead revenue pipeline forecasting and the annual budget cycle
n
- Build driver-based Excel models across P&L;, pipeline, headcount and margin
n
- Bring proactive commercial recommendations, supporting new business lines,



pricing, margins and cost drivers
n
- Partner with Group Finance on consolidation, board reporting and PE-related reporting requirements
n

I'm looking for:

n

n
- CA/CPA qualified, 8+ years post-qualification experience
n
- Strong commercial finance business partnering or FP&A; background, ideally supporting a CEO or MD-level stakeholder
n
- Experience in a people-intensive services or skilled services environment - highly regarded
n
- Exposure to a PE-backed or multi-entity group environment – highly regarded
n
- Advanced Excel, modelling and forecasting skills - essential
n
- Ability to manage competing priorities across a fast-paced, multi-brand environment
