As a Self‑Employment Consultant , at Pialba, QLD you’ll make a real impact in your community by helping people build sustainable livelihoods. This is a dynamic role where no 2 days are the same. You’ll work directly with participants to build confidence, sharpen business skills, and navigate the journey from concept to launch. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on variety, loves problem‑solving, and is energised by helping people create their own futures.

- Coach and mentor participants through the development of their business ideas, providing practical guidance, motivation, and accountability.

- Deliver engaging workshops on core business topics such as planning, marketing, financial literacy, compliance, and digital presence.

- Support participants in creating business plans, cashflow forecasts, and market research tailored to their goals.

- Provide one‑on‑one advisory sessions to troubleshoot challenges, refine strategies, and build entrepreneurial capability.

- Track participant progress and maintain accurate documentation in line with program requirements.

- Collaborate with local networks, industry partners, and community organisations to connect participants with relevant opportunities and resources.

- Champion an inclusive, supportive environment that encourages creativity,



resilience, and long‑term success.

You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:

- Strong business knowledge across planning, marketing, operations, and financial fundamentals.

- Experience in small business ownership, consulting, or entrepreneurship (highly valued).

- Exceptional communication and coaching skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.

- A passion for helping people grow, especially those facing barriers to employment.

- Adaptability and initiative, with the confidence to work independently and manage a diverse caseload.

To be considered, you will have...

- Experience in business consulting, coaching, training, or economic development.

- Understanding of government‑funded employment or small‑business programs (desirable).

- Qualifications

in business, training, coaching, or a related field (advantageous but not essential).

- Eligibility to work in Australia

- A current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle

- A MyID (Standard level)

- Willing to complete a National Police Check

- Able to pass a Working with Children Check

- Available to work Full Time Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm. Open to consider part time working options.
