Aurum Poultry Co. is an Australian poultry producer and specialist in elevated poultry — high-quality, thoughtfully raised products supplied to restaurants, butchers, grocers, wholesalers, distributors, foodservice customers and retail channels across Australia.

We are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Executive to join our Commercial team and support the next stage of Aurum's growth across Victoria, with a strong focus on our Chinese-speaking customer base. Vietnamese-speaking candidates are also welcome to apply.

This is a hands‑on, on‑road sales role for someone who enjoys being in market, building strong customer relationships, growing existing accounts and developing new business. You will report to the Commercial Operations Manager, who leads Aurum's national commercial division, and work closely with the broader Commercial team. The role will also collaborate with Customer Service and relevant cross‑functional teams where required to deliver strong customer and commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Manage and grow approximately 75–90 customer accounts across Victoria

Conduct approximately 35–45 customer visits per week

Build strong relationships with owners, buyers, managers, chefs and other decision‑makers

Identify opportunities to increase customer spend, product range, volume and order frequency

Develop and maintain an active recent‑business pipeline

Manage opportunities from lead identification through to visit, sampling, follow‑up and conversion

Target approximately $1.0–1.5 million in new business revenue annually

Promote and cross‑sell Aurum's fresh, frozen, specialty and value‑added poultry range

Support new product launches,



seasonal campaigns and strategic product programs

Gather market feedback on pricing, products, packaging, demand and competitor activity

About you

Experience in business development, sales, account management or a similar commercial role

Demonstrated ability to grow existing accounts and develop new business

Confidence prospecting and approaching new customers

Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills

Good commercial awareness across pricing, product mix and customer value

Strong planning, organisation and follow‑through

A proactive, resilient and solutions‑focused mindset

Strong CRM and reporting discipline

Confidence working with customers from a wide range of cultural and business backgrounds

Mandarin and/or Cantonese language capability is highly regarded, particularly to support communication and relationship development with our Chinese‑speaking customers. (Vietnamese language capability is also welcomed and highly regarded.)
