Family Support Worker - The Early Years Place

The Caboolture Early Years Place (EYP) is an integrated universal service accessible for children (birth – 8 years), their families and expecting parents residing in Caboolture and surrounding areas (geographic catchment of the EYP). To maximise access and engagement, the EYP offers a range of service delivery models including onsite programs, targeted home visiting and outreach at Satellite sites and community locations across the region.

We are currently seeking an experienced Family Support Worker to join our multi-disciplinary team working 32 hours per week on a 7 month contract, starting at the beginning of November.

Our Family Support Workers enjoy a varied role that can include working in partnership with our early childhood educators and child health staff to deliver holistic and integrated family intervention, also involvement with facilitated playgroups and parent education programs.





We are looking for people with strong communication skills who are passionate about working with children and families, believe strongly in early intervention and have the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will hold:

- Bachelor of Human Services in Child and Families Studies or similar;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Passionate about working with children and families;
- Believe strongly in early intervention;
- Have the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team;
- Strong skills in using Microsoft Office suite;
- Excellent organising and planning skills, and with the ability to multi-task in a busy work environment;
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Current first aid and CPR certificates
- Demonstrate the ability to follow child safe practices and be part of a child safe organisation
- Demonstrate knowledge of mandatory reporting requirements
