We require a Feedmill Operator to join a fun, close-knit team of 7, and work a 10/4 roster.

Working closely with other team members, you'll safely operate Mill machinery and equipment to ensure customised feed rations are distributed to feed cattle so the highest standards of animal health and nutrition are maintained.

This is ideal role for a local Somerset/Lockyer resident, with their own reliable transport.

Feedlot

Conveniently located between Esk and Gatton, in a picturesque spot, our Brisbane Valley Feedlot carries approximately 3500 head of cattle.

You’ll be comfortable working in a structured environment, following procedures and able to safely undertake a range of activities including:

Operating feed truck

Operating front end loader

Perform basic vehicle and equipment maintenance

Accurately follow ration formulas

Monitor, measure, load and weigh commodities

Tempering and milling grain

Recordingdata and information

You’ll also get the opportunity to help out in the livestock team and learn cattle handling and processing skills.

Previous experience in operating feed trucks and front end loaders is ideal, however full training for the right candidate will be provided.

- It is a condition of employment with ACC that all new employees are vaccinated for Q-fever, we are happy to assist and facilitate appointments as necessary.

This is a permanent position and not available to Working Holiday Visa Holders (Backpackers).
