Kids Art Fun is looking for an experienced and passionate Visual Art Educator to join our team in Chapel Hill and St Lucia, Brisbane.

Applicants must have current or substantial recent experience teaching visual art to children in a dedicated art education setting. We are looking for a genuine art educator with strong visual arts knowledge, practical art making skills and the confidence to guide children through meaningful artistic development.

Our classes develop creativity, imagination, observation, confidence and artistic skills through structured, engaging visual art experiences.

About the Role

You will deliver established Kids Art Fun visual art programs to children in small group and after school settings.

Classes may include:

- Drawing
- Painting
- Colour and composition
- Sculpture and construction
- Ceramics
- Mixed media
- Other visual art techniques

Lesson plans, teaching direction and curriculum are provided. Your role is to deliver the program confidently and consistently while creating a warm, engaging and inspiring learning workplace.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Has current or substantial recent experience teaching visual art to children




- Has experience teaching primary and/or secondary school aged children
- Has strong practical visual art skills
- Understands visual art principles, materials and techniques
- Can confidently demonstrate artistic processes
- Can engage and manage groups of children effectively
- Is warm, encouraging and confident in the classroom
- Is reliable, organised and able to work independently
- Is comfortable following an established curriculum and teaching methodology
- Has a current Queensland Blue Card or is eligible to obtain one
- Has reliable transport and can easily travel to Chapel Hill and St Lucia
- Is currently based in the Brisbane area and has appropriate Australian working rights
- Qualifications in Visual Arts, Fine Arts, Art Education, Education or a related discipline are highly regarded.

This position would suit an experienced art educator who genuinely enjoys helping children develop their artistic skills, creativity and confidence and would like to become part of a growing visual arts education organisation.

Casual position | $45–$55 per hour + super, depending on experience and qualifications
