About the opportunity

Working from our onsite salon, you will provide personalised hairdressing services in a calm, friendly and inclusive environment.

Our clients have diverse preferences, communication styles and support needs, so patience, flexibility and a genuine ability to connect with people are just as important as technical skill.

n

This opportunity would suit an experiencedhairdresserseeking two consistent working days each week and the chance to use their craft in a role with real purpose. There is also the potential to include more days in your roster if preferred.

What you'll be doing

- Providing skilled cutting, styling, colouring and grooming services tailored to each client's preferences.
n
- Taking the time to understand individual needs and create a comfortable, positive salon experience.
n
- Supporting each person's choice, dignity, personal style and self-expression.
n




- Adapting your communication and approach where clients require additional reassurance or support.
n
- Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming salon.
n
- Following appropriate hygiene, infection-control and workplace safety practices.
n
- Managing appointments and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the salon.
n
- Building positive relationships with residents, participants, families and the wider NDC team.

About you

n

You are a skilled and personablehairdresserwho takes pride in helping people look and feel their best. You understand that a friendly conversation, patient approach and familiar face can be just as valuable as the service itself.

You will bring:

- A recognised hairdressing qualification, such as a Certificate III in Hairdressing.
n
- Demonstrated experience providing a broad range of hairdressing services.
n
- Availability to work every Monday and Friday.
n
- Warm, respectful and adaptable communication skills.
n
- Patience and confidence working with people with diverse needs.
n
- Strong hygiene, organisation and time-management practices.
n
- A reliable, professional and client-focused approach.
