Bookings Officer - Equity Operations

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Bookings Officer to join a highly respected and growing Australian financial services firm. This role is ideal for someone with experience in equities operations, settlements, trade bookings, and stockbroking operations who is looking to further develop their career within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Working as part of a collaborative Operations team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate processing, allocation and reconciliation of trades while providing exceptional support to advisers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Process and allocate equity trades accurately and efficiently
- Ensure trades are booked and settled in accordance with ASX requirements and internal policies
- Reconcile suspense accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Monitor and resolve trade exceptions and settlement issues
- Liaise with advisers, brokers, counterparties and internal teams regarding trade-related matters
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all transactions
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational reporting
- Assist with the management of settlement and custody processes
- Provide high-quality adviser support and service
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

- Minimum 12 months' experience within Equity Operations, Settlements or Stockbroking Operations




- Strong understanding of the clearing, settlement and custody lifecycle
- Knowledge of CHESS and Australian equities processing
- Experience with trade allocations, reconciliations and exception management
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

Experience within Australian stockbroking, wealth management, custody, clearing, or institutional operations environments is a must!
