The Opportunity

Cochlear is seeking a Senior Manager, Market Development to support the development and lead the execution of global initiatives that help establish Cochlear implants as the standard of care for severe to profound sensorineural hearing loss.

This high-impact individual contributor role will help increase awareness, evidence-based adoption and clinical behaviour change by positioning severe to profound hearing loss as a chronic health condition with significant consequences that requires appropriate intervention. Working across global functions, regions and priority countries, you will translate strategy and evidence into practical initiatives that support market growth and implementation.

The Responsibilities

- Contribute to the development, refinement and implementation of the global market development strategy.
- Partner with regional and country teams to understand market needs and support the effective implementation of strategies, tools and resources.
- Translate clinical, scientific and health economic evidence into clear commercial narratives and market activation resources.
- Support initiatives that strengthen the appreciation of the health impact from severe to profound hearing loss and encourage behaviour change among healthcare professionals.
- Build effective partnerships across Medical Affairs, Market Access, Clinical Strategy, Advocacy, Communications and commercial teams, as well as selected external stakeholders.

About you

- At least five years' experience in market development, commercial strategy, market access, medical marketing, product marketing or a related commercial role within the med‑tech or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience working across global, regional or multiple markets and supporting implementation within diverse healthcare systems and stakeholder environments.
- Demonstrated ability to translate clinical, scientific or health economic evidence into clear commercial strategies, stakeholder narratives and implementation resources.
- Strong commercial mindset and project management skills, with the ability to convert strategy into practical plans and manage multiple priorities, timelines and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions, regions and external partners.
- An analytical and action-oriented approach, with the resilience, initiative and adaptability to solve problems, work independently and deliver outcomes in an ambiguous environment.
