Agricultural Technician – Rowena, Queensland

Staff360 is seeking an experienced Agricultural Technician to join a large-scale cotton and broadacre cropping operation in the Moree region of Queensland.

About the Role:
You will be working within a commercial farming environment supporting:

- crop establishment and production activities
- spray application and calibration
- operation of modern agricultural machinery
- general farm and machinery support across seasonal programs

This is a practical role suited to someone comfortable working in large-scale farming operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with daily farm agronomy activities in coordination with the Farm Manager.
- Collaborate with Agronomists to assess growing conditions and crop health.
- Help determine soil requirements for different crop growth phases.
- Analyze crops to ensure proper traits and readiness for harvest.
- Assist in various crop production processes and monitor crop health.
- Collect and compile data for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
- Operate farm vehicles and machinery as part of the cropping program, ensuring safe and efficient use within license limits.
- Complete associated inventory and operational records, particularly for cropping,



nutritional, and equipment schedules.
- Execute cropping operations according to guidelines and policies.
- Support best practices in planting, fertilizing, and harvesting crops.
- Assist with pest control efforts, including weed identification and management.
- Monitor soil, water, and crop health, and record observations for analysis.

Skills & Experience

- Experience in cotton or broadacre farming preferred
- Minimum 3 years practical experience in agricultural operations
- Ability to operate up-to-date farm machinery
- Understanding of spray application and calibration
- Basic mechanical skills and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Reliable, practical and hands-on approach
