Lead Dentist | Clinical Leadership | Melbourne South-East

For an experienced Dentist who is ready to have a genuine say in the future of a practice.

This is not an Associate Dentist role with a bigger title.

We are looking for an experienced Dentist to step into a genuine Lead Dentist position within an established practice servicing Melbourne's South-East corridor.

If you're currently a Practice Principal, Lead Dentist or Senior Dentist and are looking for an prospect where your experience, clinical judgement and leadership actually matter, this could be worth a conversation.

The Opportunity
The practice has an established patient base and provides a broad range of general and advanced dental services, including restorative and cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, All-on-X, Invisalign, braces, children's dentistry and emergency care.

The Lead Dentist will continue to work clinically while taking a genuine leadership role within the practice.
You'll have the opportunity to influence how the practice operates clinically, support and develop other dentists and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

This is about more than simply producing dentistry.

It's about becoming a key clinical leader within the practice.

What You'll Be Responsible For

- Provide high-quality general and comprehensive dental treatment
- Take a lead role in clinical standards and treatment planning
- Mentor and support other dentists within the practice
- Assist clinicians with complex cases and treatment planning




- Contribute to clinical governance and maintaining high standards of patient care
- Help develop the capability and confidence of the wider clinical team
- Build strong, long-term relationships with patients
- Work closely with practice leadership on growth and development
- Identify opportunities to improve clinical processes and patient outcomes
- Remain hands-on clinically while providing leadership to the team

Who We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in speaking with Dentists who have already operated at a senior level.

You may currently be:

- A Practice Principal looking for a new challenge
- A Lead Dentist wanting greater influence and autonomy
- A Senior Dentist who is already mentoring and supporting other clinicians
- An experienced Dentist ready to formally step into clinical leadership
- A Dentist who enjoys both clinical dentistry and developing people

You'll be confident making clinical decisions, comfortable taking responsibility and capable of leading by example.
Just as importantly, you'll enjoy helping other clinicians improve.

Your Experience
You'll ideally bring:

- AHPRA registration
- Significant experience in general dentistry
- Previous Lead Dentist, Practice Principal or senior clinical leadership experience




- Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills
- Confidence managing complex treatment plans
- Excellent communication and patient management skills
- A strong understanding of clinical governance and professional standards
- A genuine interest in mentoring and developing other Dentists

Experience across implants, All-on-X, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign, orthodontics or advanced restorative dentistry would be highly regarded given the breadth of services available within the practice.
