Tell me about this role:

Amentum are seeking a Cyber & Data Engineer to support a major Defence capability project, providing specialist cyber security expertise across system design, accreditation, assurance and governance activities. Working within a complex Defence environment, you will help ensure capability solutions meet security requirements, support accreditation pathways and contribute to the development of secure, interoperable systems.
This role will see you working closely with Defence stakeholders, industry partners and engineering teams to identify cyber security risks, assess solution designs, develop accreditation artefacts and provide security advice throughout the project lifecycle. It is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cyber professional who enjoys combining technical security expertise with stakeholder engagement and assurance activities.

What will I be doing day to day?

- Identify and analyse cyber security requirements for capability systems and supporting infrastructure
- Review system designs, architectures and interfaces against Defence security requirements




- Support development of cyber security strategies, management plans and accreditation documentation
- Develop and maintain Cyber Certification and Accreditation Plans
- Conduct cyber risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
- Assess vulnerabilities, threats and security implications across complex Defence environments
- Engage with Defence, industry, OEM and assurance stakeholders to support project outcomes
- Evaluate cyber security solutions and provide recommendations based on security, integration and supportability considerations
- Assist with engineering evidence, security assessments and accreditation submissions
- Assess interoperability and security requirements across Defence and coalition environments

What sort of skills do I need?

- Experience delivering cyber security engineering, assurance or accreditation activities within complex environments
- Understanding of security architecture and systems engineering principles
- Knowledge of cyber security governance, risk management and security compliance frameworks
- Experience developing accreditation, certification or security assurance documentation
- Ability to analyse system architectures,



interfaces and technical designs from a security perspective
- Experience conducting cyber risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies
- Strong understanding of security controls, information security principles and secure-by-design practices
- Current NV1 Security Clearance as a minimum
