Lead Project Engineer

- Location: Site travel through construction & commissioning
- Roster: 8/6 FIFO ex-Perth
- Position Type: Full-Time, Ongoing

Working with a dynamic, Perth-based engineering consultancy, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Project Engineer to join an owner’s team delivering gold projects from study through to commissioning.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Based in WA with site presence required through construction and commissioning, you will support the Project Manager in delivering multi-disciplinary mining projects on budget, on schedule, and to high-quality standards.

- Project Execution: Provide engineering management, project planning, reporting, and on-site construction support across local and international projects.
- Contracts & Packages: Prepare, evaluate, adjudicate, and award tender and contractor packages.
- Technical Experience: Solid Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) background is essential (HV/LV workshops, bore-field services, offices, changerooms). Experience with TSFs and Bulk Earthworks is highly favourable
- Vendor & Interface Management: Manage interfaces and monitor performance across vendors, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Technical Resolution: Interpret engineering drawings, documents, specifications, and scopes to resolve complex technical and design issues.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise directly with key client-side and site stakeholders on technical and project delivery requirements.

ABOUT YOU

- Qualifications: Recognised Engineering Degree (Civil, Mechanical,



or SMP background preferred).
- Industry Experience: Essential background in the mining and resources sector across local or international projects.
- Commercial Capability: Proven estimating, tendering, package management, and cost/schedule accountability.
- Risk & Safety Leadership: Strong ability to identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and maintain a high standard of workplace health and safety.
