Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking an experienced AO5 Community Engagement Officer to coordinate community engagement, public consultation and communication activities supporting a significant program of local government boundary reviews.

Working within a strategy, policy and governance environment, you will act as an engagement and consultation specialist, coordinating public consultation activities and developing targeted communications for a range of stakeholder groups and channels.

Key responsibilities include:

- Coordinate and promote public consultation processes, ensuring key deliverables and timeframes are achieved.
- Develop and implement communication plans supporting public consultations and associated engagement activities.
- Draft and deliver website and social media content, media statements, talking points, direct communications and advertising materials.
- Coordinate advertising artwork, content and bookings in collaboration with internal design resources.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Tailor written and verbal communications to suit different audiences and communication channels.
- Apply solid governance,



integrity and impartiality throughout consultation and engagement activities.

To be successful, you will bring:

- Demonstrated experience in community and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong experience coordinating public consultation processes, which is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop content for multiple channels.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- The ability to develop collaborative stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- An understanding of governance, risk, legislation and policy frameworks within a public sector environment.

The position may also occasionally require irregular hours, particularly during election periods.
