Opportunity:
A general dental practice in the Springfield area is looking for a dentist to work Wednesday and Saturday. This is a defined two day commitment rather than an open ended part time arrangement, which suits a dentist who already has other days accounted for, whether that is another practice, study, family or a slower transition into or out of full time work. Wednesday runs from 8am to 5pm and Saturday from 8am to 4pm, so both days give you a proper working session rather than a half day.

The centre trades seven days a week, which changes the shape of the role. Saturdays are consistently busy with patients who cannot get in during the week, and midweek brings the regular family and recall work. There is an established patient base already coming through the door, so you are not starting from a standing position.

About You:
You hold current AHPRA general registration and want a defined part time arrangement you can rely on. You are comfortable working independently across general dentistry, including examinations, restorative work, extractions, root canal treatment and children's care, and you are confident managing an unfamiliar patient who walks in with a problem that needs solving that day. Given the family and children's mix, patience with nervous patients and children matters as much as clinical skill.

You should be comfortable with the pace of a seven day centre and with the administrative side that comes with it, including accurate records, health fund processes and clear treatment costing. Overseas trained dentists with current AHPRA general registration are welcome to apply,



as are dentists returning to practice after a break who want a manageable two days to rebuild from.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver general dentistry across examinations, hygiene coordination, restorative and preventive care
- Provide children's dentistry, including treatment under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule
- Perform extractions and surgical cases within your scope of practice
- Undertake root canal treatment, crown and bridge and denture work as required
- Assess and manage emergency, walk in and same day presentations
- Present clear treatment plans and discuss costs and payment options openly
- Keep accurate clinical records and meet infection control and accreditation requirements
- Work with dental assistants and reception to keep the day running to time

Free parking is on site, which makes the Saturday commute straightforward from most of Greater Brisbane. The centre is accredited by QIP to National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
