Lode Pies and Pastries Pty Ltd operates multiple locations across Sydney, including Surry Hills, Sydney CBD, North Sydney, Rozelle and Chatswood.
The business is currently seeking an experienced Baker to join its team and contribute to the preparation, baking and consistent production of high-quality baked goods.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparing and baking a range of breads and other baked products in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
- Measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients to prepare doughs and other bakery products.
- Kneading, cutting, shaping and preparing dough for baking.
- Monitoring proving and fermentation processes to achieve consistent results.
- Operating ovens and monitoring baking times and temperatures.
- Checking finished products for quality, consistency, texture and appearance.
- Monitoring ingredient levels and assisting with stock control and ordering.
- Ensuring ingredients and finished products are stored appropriately.
- Maintaining bakery equipment,



tools and preparation areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Complying with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

About You
- At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Baker or in a similar baking role.
- Practical experience in preparing, shaping, proving and baking dough-based products.
- Positive knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients and production processes.
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy food production environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.

Salary: AUD $75,000 – $95,000 per annum
