We’re working with a Sunshine Coast residential builder who is looking for an experienced Estimator to join their team. This role would suit someone with 5+ years’ experience in residential estimating who has a strong understanding of construction, excellent attention to detail and the ability to confidently manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed estimates and pricing for residential construction projects
- Review architectural plans, engineering drawings, specifications and selections
- Complete detailed take-offs and quantity measurements
- Prepare accurate costings and tender submissions
- Obtain and assess pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Review variations and project changes
- Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive and commercially viable
- Liaise with suppliers,



subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Identify potential cost risks and opportunities throughout the estimating process
- Work closely with the construction team to ensure a smooth handover from estimating through to construction

About You

- 5+ years’ experience in residential estimating
- Experience in Data Build highly regarded
- Strong knowledge of residential construction and building processes
- Excellent ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications
- Experience with take offs, costing and tender preparation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong computer and estimating software skills
- A proactive approach and the ability to work autonomously
- A genuine interest in building a long-term career within residential construction
