Hibi Archive is a current lifestyle and gift store opening in Newtown. We curate stationery, homewares, accessories, books, and everyday design objects, alongside an intimate in-store Matcha Bar. We are looking for two friendly and proactive Retail Sales Assistants to join our founding team.

Key responsibilities

Provide warm, attentive customer service, product advice, and gift wrapping

Process sales accurately through our POS system

Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, and visual merchandising displays

Assist with opening/closing, receiving deliveries, stock pricing, and basic online order packing

Help operate the Matcha Bar (taking orders, preparing simple drinks, and maintaining bar cleanliness)

About you

Warm, approachable communicator with fluent spoken English

High attention to detail with a natural flair for keeping spaces tidy and organized

Genuine interest in design, stationery, homewares, and lifestyle products

Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a small retail environment

Flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends (previous retail or café experience is a plus)
