Corporate Protection are currently seeking experienced, driven and motivated individuals to join our professional and dynamic emergency response team in Chinchilla.

As a Fire Crew team member, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of those around you as we support our clients’ operations. No two days are same with duties including but not limited to fire response and protection, managing hazardous material spills, road crash rescue, confined space rescue and vertical rescue as well as responding to emergency situations as they occur.

Roster: 14 Days On / 14 Days Off

Travel Type: Drive in Drive Out (DIDO), with client supplied transportation from Brisbane

Key Responsibilities:

- Respond to fire, road crash rescue/entrapments, technical rescues, hazardous material and other emergency incidents
- Operate and maintain emergency response vehicles and equipment
- Completing site inspections and risk assessments as directed by the client
- Deliver advanced first aid and oxygen therapy when required
- Undertake and support site inspections, and confined space risk assessments when required
- Support confined space and vertical rescue operations
- Promote community awareness in fire prevention by supporting and participating in community education programs and activities.
- Promote safety within the area of operations by assisting with the inspection of property, buildings and emergency as requested or required
- Maintain readiness through regular drills and equipment inspections
- Complete daily reports and incident documentation include toolbox talks, vehicle pre-start checklists, local action plans and stock takes.
- Assist the Fire team leader in completing their day to day duties as required
- Promote a safe, professional, and team-driven culture onsite

- PUAFIR316 – Identify, Detect and Monitor Hazardous Materials at an Incident
- PUAFIR324 - Render Hazardous Materials Safe

- PUASAR025 – Undertake confined space rescue
- PUASAR032 - Undertake vertical rescue
- RIIERR 201E – Conduct Fire Team Operations or PUAFIR203 Respond to Urban Fire
- Current manual driver’s license and Medium Rigid (MR)
- White Card
- Proof of working rights (AUS or NZ passport, Australian birth certificate or Visa)
- Significant Industry experience
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of computer systems
- Certificate IV Public Safety (Firefighting Supervision)
