About the Role

Join our Chief Risk Office and help Insurance manage its regulatory obligations effectively across daily operations and business change. This permanent role is preferably based in Brisbane, with Sydney or Melbourne also available.

You will provide practical, trusted advice to executives and business leaders while strengthening compliance controls, oversight and maturity. The role offers broad exposure and considerable variety, balancing defined priorities with emerging regulatory, technology and business needs. You will join a high performing team and be expected to contribute from the outset.

What You'll Do

- Advise executives and business leaders on compliance obligations, regulatory impacts and control effectiveness.
- Design and implement effective approaches for overseeing compliance obligation performance across Insurance.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen compliance controls and improve risk and compliance maturity.
- Assess regulatory and business changes to determine their impact on existing obligations.
- Develop assurance activities that provide clear insights into compliance performance and emerging risks.
- Build trusted relationships across Insurance, Compliance, Legal and Regulatory Affairs.

What You'll Bring

- Eight to ten+ years of relevant industry experience, including insurance compliance experience.
- Demonstrated experience designing and executing compliance frameworks and strategies.
- Strong technology expertise, including the ability to use systems, data and reporting to support compliance outcomes.
- Advanced influencing, negotiation and communication skills,



with confidence engaging executives and senior leaders.
- Strong knowledge of Australian financial services legislation, regulation and risk management practices.
- The judgement, commercial awareness and adaptability needed to deliver value quickly across varied priorities.
