Description

The Centre for Women & Co. has an exciting opportunity for a DFV Specialist to join our Advocacy & Response Team.

This role provides direct support to women and children experiencing domestic and family violence, including responding to clients presenting in crisis and providing risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy, information and referrals.

The DFV Specialist will provide short-term case management and ongoing risk monitoring, assess and respond to responsible risks of harm or lethality, assist clients to access emergency accommodation and collaborate with internal teams, government departments and community service providers.

This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will have opportunities to think creatively, develop responsive solutions and work collaboratively as part of a supportive and fun team committed to improving safety for women and children.

Salary and Benefits

- SCHADS Level 5.1 | Part-Time (30 Hours Per Week)
- Fixed-term contract commencing from 5 October 2026 until 30 June 2027
- Salary Packaging up to $15,900 (superannuation can be paid in addition to this, subject to any ATO limit if any).

Selection Criteria

- This role requires Completed bachelor-level tertiary qualifications in human services, social work, psychology or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience supporting victim-survivors of domestic, family, sexual or gender-based violence through specialist case management, multi-agency responses and stakeholder collaboration.
- Capacity to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team and with stakeholders.
- Strong communication, organisation and technology skills, including managing competing priorities and using client databases and Microsoft 365.

This role is available to start on 5 October 2026.
