About the Opportunity

Working closely with the Site Manager and broader project team, you will be responsible for supervising site activities and supporting the successful delivery of the project within budget, programme and quality requirements.

You will provide day-to-day leadership to subcontractors while coordinating work activities, monitoring project deliverables and ensuring site operations remain aligned with project requirements.

Skills And Experiences

About You

You are an experienced and practical site leader who takes pride in delivering work safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You communicate clearly, plan ahead and work effectively with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and other stakeholders.

You understand how to balance programme requirements with safety, quality and site productivity, and you are confident identifying risks, resolving issues and maintaining momentum across site activities.

To be successful, you will bring:

- A Trade qualification in Carpentry, Formwork or Building and Construction.
- Extensive site experience within the construction industry.
- Previous experience as a Foreman, Leading Hand or in a comparable site leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in concrete pavements, structural works and civil construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methodologies and sequencing.
- Experience in project programming, site planning and supervision.




- The ability to interpret drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
- Strong leadership, communication and subcontractor coordination skills.
- A nationally recognised Construction Induction.
- A current driver’s licence.

Relevant training or licences in First Aid, Working at Heights, WHS supervision and elevated work platforms will be highly regarded.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Key responsibilities will include:

- Leading and supervising site personnel and subcontractors.
- Maintaining workplace health and safety across all site activities.
- Coordinating subcontractor activities in accordance with the project programme.
- Monitoring project deliverables and communicating progress or emerging issues to the Site Manager.
- Reviewing drawings and raising ambiguities or constructability concerns for resolution.
- Coordinating labour, plant, materials and site resources.
- Managing and verifying site set-out, survey controls and recovery datums.
- Identifying programme, scope and delivery risks and escalating them appropriately.
- Maintaining effective communication with subcontractors, suppliers and relevant authorities.
- Supporting subcontractor procurement, assessment and claims evaluation where required.
- Maintaining project records, drawings and site documentation.
- Promoting a collaborative site culture focused on safety, quality, productivity and teamwork.

Security Requirements

This role support projects within secure Defence environments. Applicants must be Australian Citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
