About the Role:

The Senior Landscape Officer provides high quality land management advice and information to land managers, community and industry groups, in particular, the role has a focus on facilitating biodiversity conservation, pest plant and animal control, and land and water resource management in one of the most biodiverse and urbanised regions of Australia. The Senior Landscape Officer will also support the management and delivery of externally and internally funded projects, contribute to policy development and planning processes, and contribute to organisational reporting requirements. This role will work with a high level of independence. The activities of the Senior Landscape Officer play an important role in delivering the initiatives identified within the Green Adelaide Regional Plan and the Annual Business Plan.

The role supports the Green Adelaide Board, refer Green Adelaide.

Contract: Term Contract up 2 years

Desirable Qualifications : An appropriate degree/qualification in natural resource management, environmental science or equivalent is desirable.

Special Conditions:

- May be required to participate in responses to state emergencies or associated duties.
- May be required to participate in Biosecurity emergency response.




- Will be required to undertake Authorised Officer training under Landscape South Australia Act 2019.
- A current class “C” driver’s licence and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4wd is essential.
- Out of hours work may be required.
- This role has been identified as a Position of Trust. Prior to being employed, the successful candidate will be required to provide a valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC), which is required to be renewed every three years. DEW will cover the cost of renewal.
- You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or provide evidence that you hold a valid working visa that allows you to work in Australia without restrictions.

A successful applicant who is not currently employed by the Department for Setting and Water will be required to have an original photo identification document sighted and provide a valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) issued within the last 12 months.

Remuneration: ASO5 ($92,122 min - $102,456 max) p.a.
