We have an opportunity for a Manager ICT Operations to be part of our Corporate Services Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.

How You'll Make a Difference

As the Manager ICT Operations, you will:

- Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of ICT operational services across PIRSA, ensuring secure, reliable and customer-focused outcomes that support our people and business.
- Provide strategic leadership to ICT Operations teams, contractors and service providers, building capability, fostering a high-performing culture and driving service excellence.
- Shape and implement operational strategies, service management frameworks and technology initiatives that strengthen business continuity, operational resilience and digital transformation outcomes.
- Drive informed decision-making by monitoring service performance, operational risks, cyber security requirements and emerging technology trends, while providing expert advice to leaders and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, technology vendors, government partners and whole-of-government providers to deliver strategic and operational outcomes.
- Lead the successful delivery of cloud initiatives, automation opportunities and service improvements that enhance efficiency, innovation and customer experience across the organisation.

About You

You will bring:

- Significant experience leading ICT operations, infrastructure, cloud services, service management functions or technology teams in a large and complex environment.
- Proven leadership capability, with the ability to inspire, develop and motivate multidisciplinary teams while fostering a collaborative, customer-focused and high-performing culture.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks,



solve complex problems and deliver practical solutions that achieve business outcomes.
- Experience managing ICT service delivery, budgets, contracts, vendor relationships and resources to ensure services meet agreed performance and quality standards.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence, build trusted partnerships and translate complex technical information into clear business advice.
- Expertise in ICT operations, cloud technologies, cyber security, risk management, governance and service improvement, supported by relevant qualifications or extensive industry experience.

Special Conditions

- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.

Requirements

- Possession of a current driver’s licence and willingness to drive.
- Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required.
- Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
- You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations when applying for a role.
- The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.

Remuneration

SS/SM1 - $144,421 per annum, plus superannuation
