The Department for Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people and places in South Australia by managing roads, marine and public transport networks across the State, and builds and maintains the State-owned infrastructure that enables the delivery of essential and important government services to our community.

The Transport Network Planning team provides strategic leadership, planning expertise, and evidence-based advice to support the development of safety focused programs and projects that that support government investment in a safer, more efficient transport network for all South Australians.

Lead network safety analysis, planning, and engagement to inform transport investment and road safety outcomes. We seek a collaborative, forward-thinking and analytical professional with strong teamwork, communication and project management skills who can influence decisions and lead planning that supports evidence-based improvements to South Australia’s transport network.

Educational Qualifications / Licences

- A recognised degree or postgraduate qualification in Engineering providing eligibility for professional accreditation with Engineers Australia or a recognised degree or postgraduate qualification in the discipline of planning or transport planning is required.

Special Conditions

- A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.




- Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays may be required.
