The Role

QT Melbourne is a 5-star, 188-room design hotel in the heart of the city's theatre district on Russell Street, home to Pascale Bar & Grill, Yamagen, Bar 133 and the iconic Rooftop at QT. We're looking for a full-time Handyperson to help keep it running at its best. This is a permanent,



full-time role with a minimum guaranteed 38 hours per week. If you take pride in your work and want to be part of the team behind one of Melbourne's most distinctive hotels, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out routine and reactive maintenance including plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, painting and HVAC checks across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently to minimise impact on guests and operations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, assist with fire alarm testing and report hazards or compliance concerns to the Maintenance Manager.
- Maintain an organised inventory of maintenance supplies and place orders to keep the department running smoothly.
- Repair or replace furniture, fixtures and equipment as needed, keeping the property looking sharp at all times.

What You'll Bring

- Proven experience in maintenance, repair or a related trade, ideally within a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Practical skills across plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general handyperson tasks.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
- A commitment to safety,



compliance and maintaining a well-presented working environment.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends, evenings and on-call availability for emergencies as required.
