This rewarding role offers the opportunity to provide psychological care across the cancer journey, helping young people navigate adjustment, anxiety, treatment-related challenges and the emotional impact of serious illness. Working alongside expert medical, nursing and allied health clinicians, you will contribute to a service recognised for its commitment to clinical excellence, innovation and person-centred care.

About the Role

You will provide assessment, intervention and consultation for children and adolescents experiencing:

- Anxiety, depression and adjustment difficulties related to serious illness
- Procedural anxiety and specific phobias
- Acute and chronic pain
- Trauma responses associated with diagnosis and treatment
- Challenges with treatment adherence and coping

Working closely within a highly skilled and compassionate multi-disciplinary team, you will deliver evidence-based interventions while supporting patients and families throughout their treatment journey.

About You

You are a psychologist who is passionate about paediatric health and enjoys helping children and young people achieve the best possible wellbeing while facing complex medical challenges.

Essential:

- Current general registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA




- Endorsement in Clinical, Health, or Educational & Developmental Psychology
- Experience providing evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention for children, adolescents and families
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed care

Desirable

- Experience working in paediatric health, oncology, chronic illness or hospital settings
- Experience supporting young people with anxiety, adjustment difficulties, pain management and treatment adherence
