About the role

HOTONDO SOUTHCOAST PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Construction Site Supervisor – New Homes to join our team in Nowra, NSW. This is a full time position offering the opportunity to lead and oversee construction projects from commencement through to completion. As Construction Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing on-site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is pivotal to maintaining our reputation for excellence in new home construction and is central to our operational success.

What you'll be doing

1. Overseeing daily construction activities and ensuring all work complies with project plans, specifications and relevant building codes

2. Managing site safety protocols and ensuring all staff and contractors adhere to health and safety regulations

3. Coordinating subcontractors, tradespeople and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services

4. Monitoring project timelines and budgets, reporting progress to management and identifying potential delays or cost overruns

5. Conducting quality inspections throughout all construction phases and addressing any defects or non-conformances

6. Maintaining accurate site records, documentation and correspondence relating to the project

7. Managing site logistics, including equipment, storage and waste management

8. Liaising with clients and other stakeholders to address queries and provide project updates

9. Leading and mentoring site team members to ensure consistent standards and professional conduct

Preparing and submitting reports on project progress, incidents and remedial actions

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Construction Site Supervisor or Foreman in the residential new homes construction sector

2. Strong knowledge of building codes, construction standards and Australian Safety Standards relevant to residential construction

3. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors effectively

4. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage projects to deadline and budget

5. Sound understanding of construction documentation, including plans, specifications and contracts

6. Current drivers licence and willingness to travel within the local area

7. Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, staff and contractors

8. Proven track record in site safety management and incident reporting

9. Competency in using standard construction management software and tools

10. Relevant qualifications such as a Construction Supervisor's Licence, COSS or equivalent certification (preferred)

11. Certificate in Construction Project Management or related qualification (desirable)
