Cordwell’s Group is a leading supplier of quarry materials, concrete, and landscaping products across Queensland. Our Chevallum Quarry is growing, and we’re looking for experienced Plant Operators to join our team.

About the Role

You will operate a range of quarry plant and equipment to support daily production, including loaders, excavators, dump trucks, crushers, screens, and other mobile machinery. You’ll work as part of a tight‑knit team to maintain safe, efficient, and high‑quality operations.

This role suits operators who enjoy hands‑on work, working outdoors, and being part of a qualified quarry environment.

What You’ll Do

- Operate mobile plant including loaders, excavators, dump trucks and other quarry machinery

- Support crushing and screening operations

- Conduct daily pre‑start checks and report defects

- Maintain safe exclusion zones and follow site rules

- Assist with stockpile management and material movement





- Work collaboratively with quarry, maintenance, and transport teams

- Keep work areas clean, organised, and hazard‑free

What We’re Looking For

- Experience operating mobile plant in quarry, mining, civil or construction environments

- Strong safety awareness and hazard identification skills

- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

- Reliable, punctual and self‑motivated

- White Card (QLD)

- VOCs or tickets for loaders, excavators or dump trucks (highly regarded)

Desirable:

- Experience in crushing and screening operations

- Mechanical aptitude

- First Aid Certificate
