Service Manager – Automotive | South Nowra Auto Group

About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Service Manager to join South Nowra Auto Group, working alongside our existing Service Manager to lead our busy, high-volume, multi-franchise Service Department.

This is a hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the Dealer Principal, with the opportunity to make a real impact across daily operations, customer experience and team development.

Working collaboratively with our Service Manager, Service Foremen and workshop teams, you will play a key role in leading our Service Advisors, driving exceptional customer service and building a high-performing team culture.

Key responsibilities

- Work alongside the existing Service Manager to lead and drive the daily operations of a high-volume, multi-franchise Service Department.

- Lead, coach and develop a team of Service Advisors, fostering a positive and high-performing team culture.

- Oversee bookings, workflow, job allocation and customer enquiries to ensure the department operates efficiently and professionally.

- Build strong relationships with customers and workshop teams, acting as a key link between front-of-house and workshop operations.

- Work closely with Service Foremen to manage workflow, repair timeframes and pending work.

- Drive exceptional customer service, CSI and departmental performance, leading by example.

- Monitor targets and performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, processes and customer outcomes.

- Take ownership of customer concerns, providing skilled and effective solutions when issues arise.

- Bring fresh ideas and initiatives to the department while supporting a positive, respectful and collaborative workplace culture.

About you

To be successful in this role,



you will be an experienced automotive service professional with a strong understanding of dealership service operations and a genuine passion for leading people.

You will ideally have:

- Previous experience as a Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager or Senior Service Advisor.

- Solid automotive service and workshop knowledge, ideally within a multi-franchise environment.

- Proven ability to lead, coach and develop a team.

- Exceptional customer service, communication and relationship-building skills.

- The ability to confidently communicate vehicle repairs, technical information and timeframes to customers.

- Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail.

- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to think on your feet and manage competing priorities.

- Experience working with dealership systems and a strong focus on CSI, performance and achieving targets.

- A positive, professional and hardworking approach, with the ability to build strong relationships across the dealership.
