Cordwell’s Group is a leading supplier of quarry materials, concrete, and landscaping products across Queensland. We are expanding our operations and seeking an experienced Dredge Driver to join our team. This role is critical to supporting our sand extraction, quarry production, and concrete manufacturing operations.

About the Role

As a Dredge Driver, you will operate dredging equipment to extract sand and raw materials safely and efficiently. You’ll work closely with our quarry and production teams to maintain consistent material quality and support daily operational targets.

This role suits someone who enjoys hands‑on work, operating specialised plant, and working outdoors in a dynamic quarry environment.

What You’ll Do

- Operate dredging equipment for sand extraction

- Monitor pump pressures, slurry flow, and dredge performance

- Maintain consistent material quality for production

- Conduct daily pre‑start checks and report defects

- Follow safe work procedures and site rules

- Work collaboratively with quarry, plant, and maintenance teams

- Maintain clean, organised work areas





- Support environmental and water‑management controls

What We’re Looking For

- Experience operating dredges or similar plant (highly regarded)

- Robust safety awareness and hazard identification skills

- Ability to work around water, floating plant, and pipelines

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

- Good communication skills

- White Card (QLD)

- Ability to meet medical/fitness requirements

Desirable:

- Quarry, mining, or concrete industry experience

- Mechanical aptitude

- First Aid Certificate
