Organic Bread Bar, a busy artisan bakery located in Paddington, is seeking a Night Baker to join our team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to handle the daily operations of the bakery. Night shift hours are 11pm-7am.
Key responsibilities
- Proofing and preparing for baking
- Mixing and understanding the process of sourdough and yeast dough
- Scaling
- Hand moulding, shaping, and cutting breads
About you
- 2-3 years experience with sourdoughs, hand moulding, shaping, and cutting breads
- Knowledge of deck ovens and baking
- Knowledge of a wide variety of different types of flours and seeds
- Mixing experience and understanding the process of sourdough and yeast dough
- Robust work ethic and attention to detail
- Flexibility and availability to work across rotating roster including weekdays and weekends
