The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Air Freight Export specialists while ensuring the efficient movement of freight, strong customer relationships, and achievement of operational and financial targets.

You will be a hands-on leader who enjoys mentoring staff, improving processes, and supporting your team to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities

- Lead, coach and develop a team of Air Freight Export operators
- Ensure all export shipments are processed accurately and in line with customer requirements
- Drive operational efficiency, productivity and service excellence
- Monitor and achieve key operational and financial KPIs
- Maximise gross profit and minimise operational costs across all shipments
- Act as the primary escalation point for customer and operational issues
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and carriers
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, security and company procedures
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team performance




- Support business growth through exceptional service and customer retention

About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Proven experience within Air Freight Export Operations
- Previous supervisory, team leader or management experience within freight forwarding
- Solid knowledge of export procedures, carrier requirements and compliance regulations
- Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness with a focus on profitability and operational efficiency
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- The ability to motivate, mentor and develop a successful team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
