We are currently working with a number of established manufacturing and industrial businesses across Brisbane who are seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters / Mechanical Fitters to join their maintenance teams.
Opportunities are available across food manufacturing, FMCG, building products, packaging, heavy manufacturing and automated production environments, with both permanent and ongoing casual positions available.
Working as part of the site maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring plant and equipment remains reliable and operational.
Duties may include:
- Preventative and scheduled maintenance
- Breakdown maintenance and mechanical fault finding
- Repairs to production machinery and equipment
- Maintenance of conveyors, pumps, gearboxes and bearings
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Equipment installations and modifications
- Supporting production teams to minimise downtime
- General mechanical fitting and maintenance duties
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner Trade Qualification
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience with breakdown and preventative maintenance
- Ability to work autonomously and within a maintenance team
- Strong commitment to safety
- Full Australian working rights
Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging, automated production or heavy industrial environments will be highly regarded.
