IEPro are working with a respected civil infrastructure contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Project Engineer for a TMR road infrastructure project in Far North Queensland.

We are also keen to speak with strong Project Engineers who are ready to step up into a Senior Project Engineer position and take greater ownership across project delivery.

This is a FIFO opportunity requiring proven TMR experience. You will join an experienced project team and take a leading role across planning, engineering, commercial management, quality and construction delivery.

The Opportunity

As Senior Project Engineer, you will take ownership of significant elements of project delivery while working closely with the Project Manager, Supervisors and engineering team.

You will help drive the project from planning and procurement through to construction and completion, coordinating resources and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with TMR requirements.

You will also provide support and technical guidance to less experienced engineers while maintaining close involvement with day-to-day construction.

The Role

In this role, you will:

- Lead engineering delivery across significant TMR road construction packages
- Take ownership of designated construction packages and work fronts
- Develop short and medium-term programmes and construction lookaheads
- Coordinate Engineers, Supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers and site resources
- Review drawings, specifications and construction methodologies
- Manage RFIs, ITPs, lot documentation and project quality requirements
- Manage procurement and subcontractor packages
- Monitor project costs, quantities, productivity and forecasting
- Manage variations and support commercial reporting




- Ensure works comply with TMR specifications and contractual requirements
- Mentor and support Site Engineers and junior project personnel
- Work closely with the Project Manager to achieve programme and commercial objectives

About You

To succeed, you will bring:

- Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Senior Project Engineer experience or strong Project Engineer experience with the capability to step up
- Previous TMR project delivery experience
- Strong road construction experience
- Understanding of TMR specifications, quality systems and documentation requirements
- Experience across earthworks, pavements, drainage and associated road infrastructure
- Strong planning and construction sequencing capability
- Commercial awareness including forecasting, procurement and cost control
- Ability to lead Engineers, subcontractors and construction work fronts
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to work FIFO in Far North Queensland
