IEPro are working with an established civil contractor to recruit an experienced HSE Advisor to support the delivery of civil infrastructure projects across Queensland.

Based from Brisbane with regular travel to project sites, this opportunity will see you work closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and site teams to maintain strong health and safety standards throughout project delivery.

The business has a strong pipeline of work across Queensland and is looking for someone who takes a practical approach to safety, builds relationships with crews and understands the realities of delivering civil construction projects.

The Chance

As HSE Advisor, you will provide hands-on safety support across a portfolio of civil infrastructure projects.

You will spend time on site working directly with delivery teams, providing advice, conducting inspections and audits, supporting incident investigations and ensuring project safety systems are properly implemented.

This role will suit someone who enjoys being out on projects and influencing safety outcomes through engagement rather than simply managing paperwork from the office.

The Role

In this role, you will:

- Support implementation of HSE systems across civil construction projects
- Conduct site inspections, audits and safety observations
- Work closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and construction crews
- Support risk assessments, SWMS reviews and project safety planning
- Lead and support incident investigations and corrective actions
- Monitor compliance with legislation, project requirements and company procedures
- Assist project teams with safety documentation and reporting
- Deliver coaching and guidance to site personnel
- Monitor emerging HSE risks and support practical mitigation strategies




- Maintain accurate safety records and reporting
- Promote continuous improvement and a positive safety culture across project teams

About You

To succeed, you will bring:

- Previous HSE Advisor experience within Australian civil construction
- Experience supporting road, earthworks or broader civil infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of Queensland WHS legislation and construction safety requirements
- Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations
- Strong risk management and safety systems knowledge
- Ability to build credibility with Supervisors, crews and project leadership
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Relevant WHS qualifications
- A practical, proactive and solutions-focused approach to safety
- Flexibility to regularly travel to projects throughout Queensland
