IEPro are working with a highly regarded civil contractor to recruit an experienced Contractors Quality Representative (CQR) to support the delivery of civil infrastructure projects across Brisbane and South East Queensland.
This is an opportunity for an experienced quality professional who wants to remain involved in significant civil construction projects without the travel and roster requirements that often come with senior quality positions.
With projects located locally across SEQ, you will be able to remain Brisbane based and be home every night while playing an important role in maintaining quality standards across project delivery.
The Opportunity
As CQR, you will take responsibility for quality management and compliance across civil infrastructure projects, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and client representatives.
You will provide guidance to project teams, ensure quality systems are properly implemented and maintain the documentation and processes required to demonstrate compliance throughout delivery.
This role requires someone who understands that quality is more than documentation. You will be visible on site, working alongside delivery teams to identify issues early and ensure works are completed to the required standard.
The Role
In this role, you will:
- Manage and maintain project quality systems and documentation
- Ensure works comply with project specifications, standards and contractual requirements
- Develop, review and manage Inspection and Test Plans
- Coordinate inspections, hold points and quality verification activities
- Review construction documentation and quality records
- Manage non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are effectively closed out
- Conduct quality audits and site inspections
- Support Engineers and Supervisors with quality requirements
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready project records
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders on quality matters
- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery
About You
To succeed, you will bring:
- Proven experience as a Contractors Quality Representative or senior quality professional within civil construction
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and construction QA requirements
- Experience delivering road or civil infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of ITPs, hold points, lot management and project documentation
- Experience conducting audits and managing non-conformances
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and site delivery teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation capability
- A practical approach to quality management and project delivery
